Our topic this term is, 'Oh I do Like To Be Beside The Seaside'
On Wednesday, everyone in school attended Church for the Ash Wednesday Service, which was lovely, the children know that Lent is a time for; fasting, almsgiving and prayer.
In our RE this week, the children have thought about their learning throughout this Memorial Sacrifice topic and produced an individual piece of artwork, to celebrate their hard work. We have had a lovely collective worship to bring our topic to an end.
In English, the children have been enjoying watching the clip, 'Alma', learning how to use figurative language within their writing and varying the sentence openers they use, resulting in some excellent paragraphs being produced.
In Maths, Year 6 have started working on algebra and so far, we are all doing great!
Year 5 have been investigating prime numbers, solving square and working out cube numbers.
Art - We have explored the work of Vincent Van Gogh and the children have started to use his style to create their own paintings.
