St Teresa's Catholic Primary School

Class 5/6M

Welcome to our class page.

This will be used to share our experiences and learning through information and photos over the year. Each week, the page will be updated with what the children have been up to!

What a busy week! 13.9.18

In English, we have started to explore our new text, 'The Inventions of Hugo Cabret.' It is safe to say, the children are hook already and they have only seen illustrations. We have already come up with many ideas about the images we have seen and even written our own sentences to accompany the illustrations. We are all very are excited to find out more!

In Mathematics, we have been focusing our learning on Place Value; reading and writing numbers with 7/8 digits and tackling tricky reasoning and problem solving questions.

Within RE, we have explored the topic, 'Ourselves,'  where the children identified their talents and qualities and discussed how we can all be peacemakers. Today's lesson encouraged the children to think about the environment and ways which we can make a positive impact, by tackling issues such as; deforestation, hunting of endangered animals, pollution etc.

The children have been developing their Hockey skills in PE, focusing on how to  coordinate the bat and the ball together.
