  • Late/Absence Procedures and Leave of Absence Request Form

All children will inevitably have some time off school due to one illness or another. When your child is ill, please telephone school before 9:30 am , or fill in our contact form below, so that the class teacher may be informed of the reason for absence. Please remember to give details of your child's illness. e.g. Sore throat.

St Teresa’s, like many schools across the North West, currently has many children off sick with symptoms of sore throat, headache and a high temperature, (and in some cases vomiting and diarrhoea). The symptoms crossover different conditions. Common cold viruses are most prevalent in school but there are also background Streptococcus A Bacterial infections including scarlet fever. See the two links below for further information.
